2013 Homebrewers Conference Seminars Now Available!
« on: July 19, 2013, 11:56:21 am »
Hey everyone,

All seminars from the 2013 National Homebrewers Conference are now available exclusively to AHA members for download! Presentations include audio recording of the seminar as well as any visual aids the speakers used. More info here: http://bit.ly/HBC13sem

If you haven't already, check out the 2012 seminars as well. Between this year and last, there is a lot of great information for brewers of all kinds (cider and mead makers, too!).

Non-members--you can check out a free preview of Mitch Steele's talk from 2012. The link above will point you there!

Cheers,
Duncan

Sweet! This will keep me going on my commute for the next month or two :)

I see that several of the talks were given on multiple days. For those that were there - are there any of them that are worth downloading both days' talks? Otherwise I'll probably just get day 2 of each.

They repeated all the Thursday seminars so the people who were judging had a chance to catch what they missed. They were supposed to be the same content. I'd just pick one.

Most likely the on significant difference would be the questions asked at the end.

Always look forward to these and one day I look forward to seeing them in person!

For the most part, the Q&A would be the main difference

I would also expect that the second presentation would be a little smoother due to practice for some of the speakers.

Good point Drew. If it were me, I'd listen to the second one and then go back and fast forward to the Q&A of the first one.

I think the Wood talk and the Historical Water talk were my favorites.

The cheese and beer one as well, but that's meaningless without the beer and cheese in front of you.

Already went back and listened to a couple I missed. Love to be able to do this. Thanks AHA!

My Saturday presentation features (at least) 5% less stammering.

Let's just hope Grand Rapids doesn't have some silly law saying you can't serve beer before 11am.  ;)

We should have the Wood talk slides available by the end of the week. Same goes for the Gluten-free brewing talk.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I listened to Saturday's talk and it was excellent. Very timely for me as well. I'm currently "waking up" 2 of the 3 bottle dregs that I'm building my first sour starter from.
