Kyrgyzstan is the happiest place in the world!
« on: March 12, 2010, 02:28:57 pm »
I am on my way home after 11 1/2 months in Afghanistan!  It has been a long (almost) year without beer, home brewing, and lots of other stuff.  I placed an order last week with NB for enough ingredients to keep me busy for a few weeks at least.

To make up for the last year, I am planning a 4 or 5 week road trip around the USA checking out mountain biking and brew pubs around the country.  I'll be asking for some ideas when the time gets closer.  See you all soon.

If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

Hopefully you'll stop by Germany on the way home and make up for some lost time.

Welcome home!!

While you have been stomping around in the desert in some God-forsaken-country I have been enjoying the good life. Enjoying good home brew, the companionship of Ms. Tubercle and the safety and security of a good night's sleep. None of this is my doing though. I owe it all to you and your compatriots.

Thanks is not enough but it's all I have.....

He's coming back home, so "here here" is actually appropriate.

Thank you for your service. It is truly appreciated, but not said enough.

As I like to say, I have the second best job in the world.  I won't be able to move up a notch until Hugh Hefner vacates his position.  ;)
Bill, I can get you those measurements I neglected to provide in about 3 or 4 days.

Welcome almost home! If you're even in Idaho, look me up! (just make sure I'm not wearing my kilt before you look up me)

I will take you up on that.  I have a good friend who works at a skydiving operation just outside Boise, and that is one of the few definite destinations on my road trip.
