What's Brewing this Weekend - 8/3 edition?
« on: July 31, 2013, 08:36:10 am »
I brewed some fest bier last weekend, but will be kegging a robust porter this weekend and brewing a RuinTen clone - 40+# of grain and 1.5# of hops for 12 gallons.  Gonna push the limits on this one, but am excited.

what do YOU have in the hopper?

Did a summer saison with spelt on Sunday.  After I get back from vacation, I'll be making more lambic wort.  I picked up about 20 pounds total of raw grain at the health food store for these batches.

Going to finish bottling the last 2 batches of my single-hopped beers tonight. Racking my strawberry mead off the second dose of strawberries into a tertiary to start clarifying this weekend. Then on Tuesday brewing a batch that will be split into a saison and a lambic.

No brewing this weekend. Heading out to Mammoth Lakes to go camping with my bro. Bring a 2.5 gallon keg of my IPA to keep us company. :0) Works out since my fermentation fridge currently has a Double DBA clone and Saison fermenting away in it.

Nothing.  My fermentation chambers are at max capacity.  I'm considering to the nanomashing experiment from the May/June 2013 edition of Zymurgy.

Autumn?  We need to make it through August first.
I am wrangling judges and stewards to judge the commercial beers at Wazoo Saturday night.  That's the fundraiser beer festival at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa.
I hope to brew an IPA Sunday.  It's been so long since I brewed I may need retraining.

Sure feels like it, we've had some pretty cool weather in Iowa this week. I love it!

I'm not brewing this weekend, have a family reunion. Brewed the last 3 weekends in a row, but I think I'll brew again next weekend. Schwarzbier, I believe it will be. Kegging a dunkel tonight though.
