Question to the kids about how to use the facebooks
« on: August 04, 2013, 09:07:19 AM »
So, if I have a facebook account and I'm friends with people, can you see who my friends are if you are not friends with me? Also, if I friend someone on facebook and they friend me back can they see if I un-friend them? Also, can you see if I "Like" someone if you are not friends with them?

God I hate the facebooks already.

1. There are privacy settings- one will show everything to anyone , the other will only show your information to people you have friended
2. They may notice that you are not on their list of friends anymore, but they don't get a notice. I don't know this for sure- I don't think I have been unfriended by anyone.
3.This will depend on their privacy settings-see #1

Absolutely turn your privacy settings on to where you feel comfortable. There is a private message that can be sent that will only be seen by that person, it will not show anywhere on their page for anyone regardless of their settings.

When you do like or comment on something, it can be seen by all of that persons friends, and if one of those friends also comments it can be seen by all of that persons friends too. So it can get around quick.

I would suggest you start a yellowhammer page. You can give out tons of info that way. Come on you are not that old.

hope you guys didn't like the fake one. The "real" page has updates about our tasting room. The fake one is in the process of being taken down via copyright attorney. It wants you to fill out a form for a free coaster - that's an information collection scam so don't do it! Funny thing, someone here warned me that could happen and while I brought it to the attention of my partners we never did anything about it till it was too late.

God I hate the facebooks already.

I thought you always hated them...is this a business decision?

My family would really be happy if I also came down off my high horse
and became a status updater.

In the past few years, Facebook has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know tons of brewers, homebrewers and craft beer lovers in my area.  I love meeting new people and making new friends, be it online or in person.  There's no way I could meet that many people without Facebook!
