Gee, I hope my LHBS starts carrying beaver anal glands...

Does anyone know how many IBUs an ounce will give at FWBAG?

Can you sub muskrat?

Fwbag? Full wort boil all grain?

Muskrat does not contain castoreum, so no. IMO muskrat anal glands taste more like canteloupe- hence the name "musk melon".  ;)

Nicely done :).  Still trying to nail down the thought process that drove a guy to sample animal anus for its possible value.

A fun fact. It has been OK for Catholics around the Downriver Detroit area and places like Monroe Mi to eat Muskrat during lent. Since they spend their life in the water, they were decreed to be fish. The stories are in the  local papers every few years.

I’m not a beermaker and have zero science background (alas) but even I could tell that her claims and charges were nonsense.

I stopped reading right after this sentence. :/

If you kept reading, you'd find out that she proceeded to interview head brewers about ingredient use.

Plus one homebrewer who spreads a lot of bad information himself. Probably fair to call him the "Food Babe" of homebrewing.
Heck yeah I blog about homebrewing: Brain Sparging on Brewing but I'm also a lawyer: The Kielich Law Firm

It's true.  I grew up Downriver and could never stomach the skrat.  If you don't get in early in the day most places that serve it run out.

I bet you gotta get there early to get the anal glands!
