Hah!! Is it officially going to be "Grains"? I thought it might be Malts but then they wouldn't have a new & different vowel to highlight in a different color on the cover.  ;D

I'm pretty certain it is going to be Malt written by John Mallett.

BTW: Mine arrived sometime last week, I was on vacation so I didn't get it till saturday when all of my vacation held mail showed up

Mine came Saturday.  I was glad to see some stuff on the effects of adding phosphoric acid.  I've been using it instead of lactic and noticed some interesting results, namely it causes things to drop out of my hard tap water especially when I also add my flavor salts (CaCl2 and CaSO4).  I'm adding the salts to the mash now and only treating the water with phosphoric as I heat it.  I added some phosphoric to some water and boiled it, and I got  alot of precipitate.  I'm goign to use this to make up my starsan now, when I use tap water it gets hazy right away.

An interesting tidbit I found in the first few pages:
Quote
...the chlorination of decaying plant matter creates TCA (2,4,6-Trichloroanisole). This off-flavor, described as earthy, mildew, wet dog or dank basement, is detectable at very low thresholds.

I find this interesting as a judge. Burned in my memory is a beer that could only be described as "wet dog with poopy feet" - makes me wonder if this was really the case.

That a wet dog with poopy feet walked through the beer, or that it had chlorinated aromatic compounds?

Well, my only suggestion I could offer at the time was "watch sanitation". I don't like that being my only suggestion. Perhaps I'll pick up a few more tips in this book!
