I've got a few hundred old episodes in my Netflix streaming cue.  Wish I could get the new episodes.

I watched a couple of the newer episodes and it didn't really do it for me. but that could be generational or maybe that's why they are already regenerating the doctor again after just a couple years.

I'm a Tom Bakker guy myself when it comes to the Doctor. Always loved the scarff

The current seasons of Dr. Who are much faster paced than the old ones ever were.  The special effects in today's show are much better but still not theater quality.

I loved the late 60's through early 80's versions of the Dr. but they are hard to go back and watch today.  They seem so cheesy and low budget.  It also doesn't help that they were so solidly a show for kids.  The new season aim for an older audience.

Yes Denny it is hard to believe the series is 50 years old.  It has me beat by about a year.  8^)

Cheesy and low budget is what I like about it.  The newer ones I've seen are almost too slick.

One of the earliest memories of TV is Dr Who.
Don't get BBCA now and haven't looked for it streaming. But the last few years were good. Maybe when he re generates again I will look for it again.

Yep, so who is your favorite Doctor ?  I grew up watching Tom Baker, so he gets the nostalgia vote, BUT I love the premise of the show ( which is pretty much anything under the sun involved with time travel, unrestricted by plot or scientific accuracy).  So I say Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are my favorite modern Drs.  Matt Smith is so manic I only understand every other word, so  ummm .....glad he's regenerating !   The new (older) guy can act   :D

I've become a pretty big fan. Love both the classic and modern Dr. Who. David Tennant is my favorite, but John Pertwee and Tom Baker are close behind.

When DW first appeared on the scene, I used one chopstick as my sonic screwdriver.  Amazing how things have changed!
