AHA, I would like to request a piece of data when this is all over:

of the total of 3500+, how many entrants put each of the 12 regions down as their first choice?  basically, a list of 1-12 with associated number of entrants.

like:
region 1: 476 people
region 2: 450 people
.
.
.
region 12: 206 people
total:  3557

...or something like that.  basically I would like to see how well the regions are doing at filling the demand.  Perhaps if clubs in the West Coast or Northeast or anywhere where there was a huge number of interested people saw that there was a great deal of unmet demand in their region they'd step up by offering to organize an additional 1st Round site next year.

*edit* - if the numbers are all fairly even then we know the regions are doing the best they can, which also answers my question.

Hi Michael,

We can't publish the information currently, since the second round of the lottery is still ongoing.  The AHA does plan to publish the entrants and entries counts once the dust settles.
