Anyone know density of lactic acid to correctly convert ml to grams?

This site has it listed at 1.206 g/mL at 25 degrees celsius.

Keep in mind that this value is for pure lactic acid. You will have to adjust for concentration.

This MSDS sheet shows 88% lactic acid as having a SG of 1.21 @ 25C.

so if understand correctly, distilled water should have a 1:1 ratio ml/gr and 88% lactic acid would be 1:1.21 ml/gr?

That has been my understanding.  Maybe one of the lab-type people here can verify.

I got my 10ml graduated cylinder and used on my calibrated gram scale . Spot on, 1ml 88% lactic acid = 1.21 grams .

It's always tricky business when using acid to control wort ph, so I'm a little more comfortable with this more precise way to measure out the lactic acid additions that brunwater calculates.

Thanks for the info.
