threefrenchs:
I need some suggestions to Hop Up a standard Brown Ale.  What hops match that beer style the best but still add that punch?  Any help would be great.

Denny,
What kind of flavor do you get from a Willamette/Chinook combo?

Why, a good flavor, of course!  ;)

Chinook makes a really nice finishing hop....based on this recipe I've used it to finish in others.  A nice kinda piney, resiney, floral thing.  The Willamettes are a pretty smooth bittering hop and give a kind of earthy flavor.

With 10 minutes left, add in the Brown Sugar
Cool and ferment at 71° to 74°

Notes
An extract version of this Recipe Appeared in Sam Calgione's book : Extreme Brewing.
I have changed it to all grain and rounded off a few weights for the sake of simplicity.
Also, I added hop additions as the original recipe equaled out to only 22 IBU, yet the beer is listed in the book and on the DFH website as 50 IBU.
