You should at least take a bucket of water out and throw it in the air to see if it freezes immediately or turns to snow.
we've done that with the kids but with hot water, once it flies you can hear it pop and crack as it crystallizes, it's pretty cool(no pun intended)
Yeah...I forgot the hot water part. I tried it on Friday night but it wasn't cold enough (only around 0 F ).
Those guys in International Falls, MN could probably watch it freeze into a block of ice in mid-air.
