That does suck Ken. I just finished my two 3.5gallon batches. Just over 5 hours, had both tuns up and running, 2 kettles, etc. So much better than the last time I did a double batch back to back. Still need to clean 2 kettles, rinse 2 fermenters, and pitch yeast later tonight. Bought to Crack open something, likely one of my Evil Twin clones

Fermenting: Nothing (ugh!)
Conditioning: Nothing (UGH!)
In keg: Nothing (Double UGH!)
In the works:  House IPA, Dark Mild, Ballantine Ale clone(still trying to work this one into the schedule)

Bad week: slipped on laundry on basement stairs and fell 4 stairs to bottom. Dislocated two ribs and put my rib cage out of alignment as well as my upper back. So painkillers , ice and taking it easy so no brew for me this weekend.

Sorry to hear that man! Damn laundry.  That's why I just throw my clothes in the garbage after I wear them.

I've got a Belgian Wit in the fermenter. An APA that have been in bottles for 9 days and a dry stout that have been in bottles 3 days. Up next is a California Common to brew.

I brewed a German Pilsner today for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and was aiming for an OG 1.048. I forgot that when I use Avangard Pils malt that my efficiency goes up a few points and I ended up with 1.050. I thought that number seemed fitting for their 50th.

Very cool!  Yeah, I get an extra 3 points-ish when I use Avangard as base, too. Good extraction evidently.

Just made a starter for an Irish Stout I'll be brewing tomorrow--going to add some Dark Munich as Majorvices has recommended several times. Looking forward to tasting that difference in the fall--if I can wait that long while cellaring it over the summer.
George

Brew and grow...

Bottled: Belgian May Ale, APA, Wit, Pilsner, Rye Pale Ale, Pale Irish Ale, Dark Mild, Brown Porter, English Pale Ale, Amber Ale

Fermenting:

Next Brews: English Pale Ale, Spruce Porter, Brown Ale

Think I may be brewing a Dampfbier over the long weekend:

95% Barke pils
5% carahell
15 IBU Mittelfruh at 60 minute FWH
3068 at 65F

Be a good summer beer. Ferment it semi-open and top crop some yeast for another hefe.

Im hoping to get a stout brewed this weekend. If I have time I'll do a Belgian as well.

Sick as a dog today though and so many things to get done around the house.

Not o mention BBQ. I have ribs to smoke.

I'm smoking ribs, too (hickory and cherry). Can't have Memorial Day without 'cue. Hopefully I can brew a fruit beer for my wife, too.

Speaking of 'cue, I miss Ron (Bluesman). Wish he still posted around here.

As for Bluesman, I love his Pilsner from the wiki, hope his pro efforts are doing well
