Just pitched the yeast on a Munich Helles...I reused the Diamond slurry from my Mexican-style lager that I just kegged. I had forgotten how satisfying it feels to save a few bucks versus pitching new dry yeast.

Doing my IPL but with koln dry yeast as I didn’t trust my previously harvested lager yeast. So I guess a cold IPA or whatever the lame term for it is now…

90% Pilsner
10% Munich II

24g herkules @ FWH
1 oz each of blanc and mandarina @ 10 min and 2 min
1 oz each of blanc and mandarina @ dry hop
2 oz vista @ dryhop

1.060
~46 ibu
Koln dry yeast

On Tap/Bottled: IPL, Adjunct Vienna, Golden Stout, Honey Lager

Up Next: mexi lager, Germerican pale ale

Making an American IPA, with some of my Yakima Valley HOPBOX hops -- Azacca, HBC 586, and Idaho Gem. It's my first time brewing with the last two, so I'm excited to see how it turns out! I'm using Lutra for the yeast, in another twist.

Little Sumpin' Sumpin' clone recipe that I found on this site (https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/homebrew-recipe/lagunitas-little-sumpin-sumpin-clone/).

Just joined the AHA today, after brewing for about 9 years.

Just finished brewing an amber rye ale, which will be fermented with Lutra...gotta do a quick brew before moving houses in a few weeks. (it's a short move distance, so I thankfully don't have to think about finishing kegs or anything!).

Yep, it is indeed the dry Omega lutra. I quite like it. I am keeping it down in the 70s (ambient) overall, to minimize yeast character. I pitched a single pack in my amber ale last night, and it took off like a rocket. Very vigorous fermentation when I checked on it this morning, <12 hours after pitching.

I've also used Lallemand's Voss Kveik as another dry option; I had good success on an IPA last summer, fermenting in the lower 80s.

10 gallon batch of Pilsner.  Lower ABV than most, so probably a Lichtbier by BJCP guidelines.  An easy summer drinker.

Brewed a West Coast IPA in a split batch yesterday to compare Omega OYL-404 Star Party to US-05. If the thiolizing bit works could be a nice money saver, with hops like Calypso and Cascade half the price of Citra and Mosiac. All extract for now until I get enough time to move back to all grain batches. The short brew day is keeping it fun for now though.

Helles coming up this weekend.  My new Helles recipe is a simple and untraditional 75/25 Pilsner/Munich 1.  I get a nice color with this grain bill.  22 IBUs of Hallertau Mittelfruh from YVH.  Can't get much simpler than that.  Cheers Beerheads.

Never done a helles but that looks great and similar to how I would approach it.
