browser settings?
« on: February 09, 2014, 01:52:48 pm »
Can anyone think of a browser setting that would prevent the use of the forum text formatting buttons and other tools in IE? They seem to work ok in Chrome.

IM curious why you would use IE when chrome works fine.  Granted everyone has their own preferences but i avoid IE like the plague

You could look for a scaled down minimal browser. There are some out there that focus on performance and eschew full functionality.

It's IE 11. I don't really give it too much thought. Most of the time when I'm on the forum it's on my Mac but I've been doing a lot of GIS work at home lately and I have a PC for that. Maybe I'll just default to Chrome for a while and see how that goes. Do folks still use FireFox? I used that a few years back when I hearing bad things about IE.

I migrated away from FF. What a bloated resource hog. Not that Chrome is much better.

I use IE 11, but in compatability mode. I also do a lot of GIS.
