Inspired By (clone) Names
« on: February 04, 2014, 04:56:41 AM »
I'm curious if anyone has fun naming their inspired-by beers. I'm going to do an American Stout with 1728 that I'm calling MacBeth, and a version of a reddish pale ale with centennial and cascade that I'm going to call Donner Party.

Ah, late night beer humor.

Oh, and my English beers are always named something cheeky. My favorite name is 'The Dog's Danglers', it's pretty epic when someone has to read that at an awards ceremony.

My Chinook ipa is called onchorynchus (genus for Pacific sakmon). My California common is "slipped anchor". And my Christmas beer for an ugly sweater party was "El Guapo: with a plethora of spices"

'The Dog's Danglers'

Awesome name!

It might be a little disturbing as a picture on a label

Mine's called "Chimaybe".

My last one that missed the mark was named "Chimostcertainlyisnot".  Still a good beer... but not a Chimay clone.
