I'm very curious if anything will come of the whole anti-gay thing in Russia. I would never ask anybody to not be themselves, but with the possible consequences, might want to be careful and walk that line very tightly

Can't wait for the snowboarding events. Snowboard cross is awesome.

From the reports I'm hearing, you wouldn't want to.  One reporter said there's a sign next to the toilet saying do not put TP in the bowl, but instead put it in the basket next to the toilet bowl.  :o

Glad to see the NFL will be on CBS the first half of the season on Thursday night. They just picked up another viewer. Half the season anyway.

Really? I was irritated at the start of last season since time warner didn't carry NFL network. Then there was the whole cbs time warner stand off this season.

Just saw that. Pretty cool. The Colts Thursday games last couple years got picked up from NFL Network by one of our local stations which was cool. I guess if you're willing to pay them their price they'll gladly sell you the access at a local channel level.

Is he holding a bottle of Baltika? No getting mad at the toilet and throwing your Baltika at it. ???

Geez, I guess the world of international sportsing
likes to have "proper" toilets that flush paper and stuff. ::)

"Dmitry Kozak, the deputy prime minister responsible for the Olympic preparations, reflected the view held among many Russian officials that some Western visitors are deliberately trying to sabotage Sochi's big debut out of bias against Russia. "We have surveillance video from the hotels that shows people turn on the shower, direct the nozzle at the wall and then leave the room for the whole day," he said. An aide then pulled a reporter away before Mr. Kozak could be questioned further on surveillance in hotel rooms. "

Yike!  Admitting video surveillance in bathrooms... whether it is true or not, that is beyond stupid.
