Some of you may have seen this post I started recently here...

As an update, I've moved the one gallon jugs to a warmer location in the house. Noticed this morning that one of the jugs (still somewhat actively fermenting) has some weird spots way up on the neck. I have opened the caps a few times to smell, but this is the first I've seen these spots. Is it infected? I wonder if these caps are just not really airtight (airlock included) and that is why I am having the constant acetaldehyde issues.

Just little colonies of yeast. Most likely a little sugar got stuck there and a few of the workers found out.
