What a brilliant comedic mind. I have spent a healthy amount of time quoting lines from his movies.

Favorite was when he was the dean in Orange County and they mistakenly gave him ecstasy.

"Sean, you are my same height. That is neat"

Ramis wrote or was involved in all of the funniest movies ever.  Saw the news this morning and it is truly a tragedy.  Someday, I'll watch Caddyshack with my son and hopefully he will laugh as hard as I.  But since I'll never make him go be a caddy, perhaps not.

What a bummer headline ion this cold, rainy Tuesday. He was one of my favorite comedy writer/directors.

I guess that ends any hope of Ghostbusters III coming out.

At this point, I think any new ghostbusters movie would be a reboot a'la superman/Spider-Man/batman/hulk/fantastic four (really?)/Star Trek.

I heard rumors a while back that goonies could get a remake which would be terrible.

Hollywood should remake citizen cane, Lawrence of Arabia, gone with the wind, rocky, harry potter, and transformers while they are at it. We could also use a new version of the three original Star Wars.

He always seemed to really be his character and was always funny.  I didn't realize how much he did in the film world.

In terms of remakes, I am astonished to learn that my age group (very near the end of the "Bommers") have so little imagination.  I heard a crappy film from the 80s, can't remember which one right now, was going to be remade and all I could think was "Are there no new ideas?".  8^(  My hopes for the movies ended when someone decided to remake Red Dawn and make The A-Team into a movie.  Pretty much stopped even thinking about movie theaters at that point.

RIP Egon

I don't know if "Fat Egon" would have worked so well for me. I don't know if it had anything to do with his medical condition, but he sure bulked up a bit over the years.
