Cold crash with gelatin after dry hopping?
« on: March 01, 2014, 08:30:48 am »
So I have a Belgium IPA in secondary with an oz of galaxy floating in a hop bag.  The plan is to bottle tomorrow afternoon/evening. I wanted peoples opinion on adding a packet of gelatin and cold crashing with a floating hop bag. Will it even work or just make a huge gooey mess?

Personally I would remove the hop bag and cold crash for a few days and skip the gelatin. It may delay your bottling day but even with gelatin I don' think a day is long enough.

You may find that the fining removed some of your hop aroma. I personally never fine after I have dry hopped.
