AHA Conference Hotels
« on: March 06, 2014, 10:30:11 am »
Paid conference attendees will receive hotel details on March 7 from the AHA. The AHA has protected numerous hotel rooms and paid attendees will get the information first.

Hint: To ensure a room at one of the conference hotels closest to the venue, have your conference registration paid before 8:00 am MT, March 7 and book your hotel room before March 12, when this web page (http://www.ahaconference.org/hotel-travel/hotel/) will be populated with general information regarding all conference hotels.

The AHA has secured as many rooms as possible in the downtown area. To ensure all attendees have access to a room, hotels on the outskirts of town will become available as well. The AHA will provide limited round-trip transportation to hotels outside of downtown. Room rates range from $115-149, depending on the location.

Great to hear!  I tried to get a room nearby and the hotels were reflecting a booked up status, so this is nice....thanks a ton!

We got the email, and the dates are two days off from the actual dates of the conference.  That should probably be fixed on the web page.

The room blocks start earlier for anyone who wants to partake in Tuesday/Wednesday activities. You can reserve whatever days you want within the block through Sunday.

I understand it starts early.  It said the Tuesday the 8th or Wednesday the 9th through Sat. the 12th.  The dates were wrong, but have been fixed since then.

Glad they fixed the dates.  Wouldn't want someone showing up the wrong week:

Devos Place schedule:
Jun 10 - Jun 14, 2014  American Homebrewers Association 2014 Conference
Jun 16 - Jun 19, 2014  American Baptist Association 2014 National Meeting

 ;D
Might be a few less kegs of beer at one of those than the other.

My favorite was still 2004 in Chicago when the hotel had us scheduled at the same time as a big baptist meeting and a big AA meeting. :)

All downtown hotels sold out already?  A glitch?  It is looking like I'll have to find a room elsewhere >:(

We have family in MI, so we had to decide when to visit family and then when we would arrive.  It appears we waited too long.

For those of you who have already registered and have the hotels page, I just posted another hotel to the website (Crowne Plaza). We have plenty of rooms. I'll continue to add hotels as needed.

Thanks!
Kathryn

Are all the Hotels downtown now sold out? Staying at the airport (10+ miles away) is really not very fun.

Yes, I saw Kathryn's post. The Crowne Plaza is at the airport and 10.3 miles away.  At city speeds that would be 20-30 minutes out.

I was just wondering if all the downtown stuff is now gone. I just did not expect that.

Staying that far away really is an entirely different experience.

The AHA secured as many rooms as possible in the downtown area. To ensure all attendees have access to a room at a discounted rate, hotels on the outskirts of town have also been included. The AHA will provide limited round-trip transportation to hotels outside of downtown.
