Beer Comp Category for 3.3% ABV 8 IBU Blonde Ale
« on: March 09, 2014, 12:40:08 pm »
I don't know what category this beer would fall into?  Seems like 6B Blonde Ale, except the ABV and IBU are too low, so would that make it fall into the Specialty category?  Essentially it is a 1A Light American Lager, but in Ale form.  Any help or insight is greatly appreciated, thank you!  Cheers!

Enter as what it tastes like, not what the specs are.  The judges don't know that.  They only know how it tastes.

If it tastes light then I would enter it as Specialty.  If it tastes just like normal strength then enter it as a Blonde Ale.
