Dopplebock feedback
« on: January 03, 2014, 01:28:34 pm »
I'm working up to a dopplebock with a string of lagers. I'm a huge Celebrator fan, and while I'm not looking to clone it, I'd certainly be happy with a brew in that ballpark. I've never brewed one, but here's what I was thinking of brewing:

Looks very close to one I brewed early this year (and just tapped on Christmas  8) ).

I like your recipe a lot.  I personally always opt for Mittlefruh, but this one's about the malt anyways so its unlikely to matter.

Bumping an old thread. I finally got around to brewing this a couple of days ago. Based on some recent doppelbock discussion I decided to add 2oz of Carafa III to try to get a bit of that roast note I pick up in Celebrator. Wort tasted great - can't wait till the fall/winter to start drinking this.
