you're further in than I Denny. I have never once even gone to the... twitter website (maybe?). so much social media so little time.

+1 to being Twitter-less. Just haven't found good reason to 'tweet' yet (or ever).  Never say never, though.

I use it as a news source. As far as I can see, most of the local breweries (I follow almost all of them) use it to announce new brews in the tasting room, beer events, and retweet people who are talking about enjoying their beer. Seems reasonably simple to me.
