It seems to me that there are varying qualities that handle different temps. It would be fine if it can handle 212º. I used utility for mine. Seems to me refer is too soft

The roll of 50 Ft X 1/2 in copper refrigeration tube I bought many years ago works fine. Good to 400F the specs say. You want something that is easy to form. I rolled it around a corny keg to form it. Used compression fittings on the ends.

Ya it is. I looked at home depot when I built mine. Like $180. We have a this-n-that store near by. I found a 60' roll of new 1/2" for $90. Score!

Yeah, after I saw that price that it might just be worth buying one, so I searched the one a bought about a year and a half ago. I got it from morebeer, and it was $100... It's now $139

Most solder is lead free these days, and would work fine.

Most solder is lead free these days, and would work fine.

Clean it after soldering, as flux tastes nasty.
