I use one pill for 5 gallons and have never tasted it. I think a sack of pills is where the flavor threshold is.

Save yourself some $$.  1 tab is good for 112 gal.  I cut them in half and use half for 5 gal.

I could do that. I'd need to invest a bunch in gear. I suppose I could cut the pills in half but at 25 cents or so each, I just toss one in and forget it. Or forget it all together
