I hear you.  Everything here became green this past weekend (84F on Saturday).  Of course this morning we had an inch of snow and are looking at 24F for a low tonight.  Three seasons in three days?  Must be Iowa.

Happy to hear the hops are coming up.  For me it's the raspberries survived the winter!!

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Yes, they survived the winter.  Now they need to survive the rabbits.

I don't typically need to worry about deer within Chicago.  But the rabbits are fat and plentiful.

Well, it's currently snowing here, but the hops are breaking ground anyway.

I hate to be a bummer, but my Cascades are 4' tall, the Centennials are almost 2'.  That's today, but tonight we get a hard freeze that should kill all the current growth.  But they'll come back.

Mine have yet to pop up, but I think they're just holding back, ready to release that pent-up energy in a huge burst.  Make way for an epic harvest!

I still have 7.5 lb of 2014 hops in my freezer - quite a fine selection of organic homegrowns.  I've often thought that I could lose a whole season's worth and still be just fine.  Gotta love the bounty of a good hopyard.
