Great pub. Had a couple there myself. I probably don't need to tell you, but if you haven't been there before, check out Café Gollem as well. Great place. Right across the alleyway from The Cracked Kettle.

The only real find of the trip:
Troubadour Magma --- Brouwerij The Musketeers
Simcoe with another Big C hop?

Next was side by side-----  Westvleteren  12  vs St Bernardus Abt 12
Second time for this testing and again the Westy12 was miles ahead.

had a few brews  at "In de Wildeman"
Great pub.

Yep and you can smoke too  :o ;D :D  Spent a few days/nights just watching people walk by...

Cracked Kettle and Café Gollem, De Bierkoning all have Westvleteren.

Yup, it's pretty easy to get in Amsterdam. I didn't bother though - it was cheaper at the source.  ;D

Yes waiting to see some pics, I can only edit/upload alittle at a time before getting numb.

So what did you think of amsterdam? too much construction always going  for my taste.

I know. I've been so busy lately, I frankly haven't had the time. And I agree with you, easy to get burnt out.

Amsterdam was certainly, interesting. There was indeed a ton of construction going on, but I noticed that in several other places too (Ghent and Brugge had quite a bit). The city was kinda cool looking, but hat a grimy, dirtiness that I didn't care for. Literally trash everywhere. But the architecture and canals were obviously cool, as well as the food/beer. It's really hard to form an solid impression having only been there once, and only for a few days.
