Feelin like a idiot
« on: April 01, 2014, 06:24:23 pm »
So I bottled last night and did a washed my yeast. Well when I got up this morning three sat three beautiful jars of rinsed yeast. Don't really think anything is wrong or will be wrong with them. Anyone care to shed some light on this please? I really need to invest in Jamil Zaniasheffs book on yeast

I think you left out some info. What do you think you did wrong?

Yeah I guess I did, the jars were on the counter at room temp. Don't think there spoiled but I just wanted to ask around

That's fine. Not ideal but no biggie. Get them in the fridge

Look at it this way: Would an extra day in the fermenter at room temperature make a difference?

Putting them in the fridge will help drop the yeast and extend viability but as Sean points out, it's not like your yeast would have died if you left them in the fermentor at room temperature for another day.
