My new brew timer
« on: March 29, 2014, 03:55:55 pm »
$8 white board with markers
4 - $1 timers
4 - 25ยข magnets

Low tech. Set the timers for the time between steps. First timer set at 45 second set at 15, etc. Might need to add a fifth timer, but four will work for 95% of what I brew. Hell, two timers will work for 85% of what I brew.

Now I can leave my phone plugged into the speakers and not worry about getting it wet.

I like it. I used to use built in recipe timer, then cell phone timer, now a wind up one hour timer.

Made a slight change in my methodology mid brew day. I set all the timers from 90 min and started them at the same time except for the final 10 minute timer. I put my chiller in at 10 min left and don't start timing until I get the boil back. Once I get a bigger kettle, and put the chiller in at the start I will start all the timers at the same time.

There's no way I could ever read my handwriting! And that's not gonna fit in my pocket.  ;)

Not yet. I haven't figured out where to put the Qualcomm chip.

I literally laughed out loud at this, but only because I have no idea what it means. ;D

And don't explain it, you'll ruin it for me, ;)
