Mixing yeast strains
« on: April 15, 2014, 04:11:40 pm »
I was wondering if anyone has mixed WL British Ale and Safale S-04. I know they are similar....
I had a slow start with the WL, so ended up adding the dry S-04 yeast and it seems to be going good now. Just wondering if there would be any taste difference at all, or pretty much the same.

Thanks,

Lyle

Well, from what I am reading/seeing, seems like it won't be a big deal. :)

Typically, one yeast will pretty much out compete the other, but I am sure you will be fine.
