it didn't hardly rain here last winter. I know you understand but I'm not sure some folks HERE understand. Hell, even in really dry weather I see people flicking butts out the car window. drives me nuts.

Thanks! Your cavernous chest freezer makes those 30L look small. :D

Measuring mine I am shy 3" to fit two of the 30L in the bottom well because of the compressor, and perhaps 0.5" in height if I were to use a platform to overcome this.

And about 0.5" in width overall for one 60L. I'm striking out on these badass fermenters because of fractions of inches...

Im still used to 6 gal buckets, the 30L look huge to me. But your dilemma makes me glad I went big in the chest freezer. Im really digging the extra head space in the 30L, and a double header is a nice full day of brewing with just enough energy left over to clean up. Then a two or three week break to do other things...

Euge, it might be worth trimming an inch off of an airlock to see if that would let you fit them in with a platform. Worst case you'd have to buy a new airlock.

Jim, how big is that freezer?  I'm in the market for one and can't decide on a size.

Looks like a 14 cf. I'm really happy with mine. The extra space comes in very handy.

+1. I love my 14CF.  I can fit 8 kegs and a bunch of commerical beer in there no problem.

Does anyone know the actual internal volume for the Speidel 20L fermentation vessel (FV)?  I have a 30L Speidel, and 30L is very conservative for this FV.

Don't know but 5 gallons on my 30L is just slightly over half.
