Baltimore Homebrew Shop Flooded
« on: May 01, 2014, 01:18:24 pm »
I heard from an AHA member who indicated that the Nepenthe Homebrew store in Baltimore, Maryland was flooded and causing devastating damage to the store. Local homebrew club Baltibrew, which had been planning to participate in a Big Brew event at the shop this Saturday, has been rallying its members to get together on Saturday to help clean up the shop.

If you live in the area, I'm sure Nepenthe and the Baltibrew club would appreciate all the help they can get with the clean-up effort.

The address of Nepenthe is: 3600 Clipper Mill Rd #130a Baltimore, MD 21211.

Thanks for getting the word out Gary.  It's sad as this was a great neighborhood shop, loved by many in the Baltimore homebrew community.  There are two ways to help out:

If you are local and can lend a hand, they are doing a Big Cleanup day on Saturday in place of Big Brew where local homebrew club members are helping clean up the flood damage.  https://www.facebook.com/events/1598135733744924/

Also, Nepenthe is taking donations to help get back on their feet.  The link to donate can be found here:  http://www.gofundme.com/8ta0tk

This is a newer shop in the area and we want to see them get back on their feet as soon as they can.  So any donation, whether in the form of money or physical labor, would go a long way in helping.

Cheers!
