Blood Moon 2014
« on: May 01, 2014, 08:23:35 pm »
I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago in my driveway with a Pentax K-r, 300mm lens on a tripod.  Not too shabby for a rank amateur if I do say so myself.

Great shots.  I was looking forward to seeing it in person but the clouds blew in about an hour before it started.  I guess we were lucky it was clear before then. ::)

I was lame too,was in bed by 10 PM but I was running through work problems in my head and couldn't sleep.  I noticed it had started getting dark so I grabbed the camera, put a jacket on and went outside.  Luckily we live out in the country and there was nobody around to see me in my boxers and a jacket(it was in the low 30's).

Nice cold air probably contributed to the clarity.
