ferm wrap question
«

I just bought my first ferm wrap from Northern Brewer based on a lot of people on here saying they use them and they work. My question is how do people attached these to their fermentors? Mine doesn't fit all the way around my glass fermentor which shouldn't be too much of an issue but I was wondering how people typically attached these to their glass fermentors. Thanks

Electrical tape is easy and safe. You can also go to the local home improvement store and grab a roll of velcro, attach some to the ends of the fermwrap and bridge the gap with the other side. Easy.

+1. I use either electrical tape or the blue painters tape.

I hate dealing with tape... I just use a bungee cord.

Bungee cords for me as well. They are always lying around unused, so I put them to use, and they are re-useable!

I wrap one of these elastic belts around my fermenter to hold on a temperature probe under a folded towel. Not the same as a ferm wrap but I thought I would share.

Go to your hardware store, look in the insulation isle for water heaters and buy the "100 mile an hour tape" - that's not what it is really called but it is "foil like" tape that is very strong, very sticky and very easy to remove.
