Too cool. Someday I hope my barbaric palate will be able to handle the tasting exam! :D
According to the competition calendar there are a couple of comps within an hour of you happening at the end of May, might be someone there who can administer the "taste test"... provided there isn't someone local. ;D
Great job!

I may be wrong, but I think there are still openings for the taste exam in Grand Rapids next month.

I was correct, there are 19 open slots at the NHC. From the BJCP Facebook Page

Quote
Coming to NHC? Need to take an exam? We have room! The mead exam has multiple open spots, the written exam can take up to 6 more qualified examinees and the tasting exam has about 19 open spots. All exams given in advance of NHC finals judging and pre-conference!

Once full we can make a waiting list and if you are in GR early you can try a walk in just in case someone does not show up. (We are having these be pre-paid so the examinee has some incentive to show

Beer Written Proficiency Exam: Tuesday, June 10 - 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Amway Grand Vandenberg A [Note early time]

Mead exam. Written portion 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and the tasting portion 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11
Amway Grand Vandenberg B

Beer Judging Exam: Wednesday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Amway Grand Vandenberg A

Amway is at 303 Monroe Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

All exams are expected to start on time. Don't be late! Be prepared, be prompt and come in to write your best exam.

See BJCP page to send a request by clicking on my name next to the exam you need to take. Be prepared to give certificate number or BJCP ID. If you are eligible to sit for the written tell me in advance so that I don't have to ask.

Let's make this a very successful NHC for getting people seated for exams!
