I do almost all of my purchasing through brewmasterswarehouse.net.
Good prices, great service, flat-rate shipping.
If I'm not shopping at BMW, I'm shopping at Austin Homebrew Supply, to which all of the above apply as well.

I placed an order there yesterday. I was also impressed with the prices and shipping.

Buying in bulk with a group purchase is ultimately going to save the most money. Unfortunately, that's probably not possible for some folks. What am I going to do with a pallet of 2 row in my garage... ;D

Any ideas?  8)

Depending on the flat rate pallet price from NCM to you. You may only need to buy about 10 bags to save on the shipping.

I get all my stuff from the Grape and Granary in Akron, OH.  But now that I'm in upstate NY I'm looking for a new place.  I may try Doc's over in Binghamton.  Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Yeah, they ship FedEx ground but it aint cheap, about $25/shipping per sack.

Sucks that your source dried up.
Are there any other local brewers that could get you to 20 sacks on a skid?
With you buying 10 thats halfway there.

No, there is a local homebrew club but I have not had contact with them in some time. nice guys, don't get me wrong. It's just that "local" for me is still 30+ minutes away and I am not in the loop with them at all any more (haven't been to a meeting in over 2+ years.) And they don't order regularly - for me that means I need an order once every 4 - 6 months or so. They order just whenever....

The closest homebrew shop to me that sells in bulk in Rebelbrewer and they are over 2 hours a way - and much more expensive (46 bucks per sack for Rahr - I was getting Best Pils and TF MO for less than that.

Still, I'll probably make the drive up there in the next couple of weeks as I need pils malt.

Hell, even if you go 10 or 12 sacks at a time its about $10/sack shipping
Probably cheaper than most of your other options............of course its a big nut at around $550

Get you some plastic barrels to store them in, no worries with the mices
I have one in my basement and it holds 5 full sacks of grain if I put them in there correctly.

I usually get about 6-10 sacks at a time and keep them in Rubbermaid containers. (Still have mice though, hard to keep them out of a country house.) I will certainly look into it. Looks like I'll be paying 500 bucks rather than 350 or so though. Bummer.

BTW, looking at the site I see the homebrewers link but they only sell by the pound. Where are you guys ordering by the sack and having shipped to a residential address?
