I say go for it!  JUst make sure if you are brewing inside to vent correctly.  Also, keep in mind that with 25G pots it will probably be a little finicky brewing 20G.  Good luck in the planning and building of the new brewhouse!

Cheers,
Jeff

+1, we brew 30 gallon batches in a 55 gallon boilermaker.  And I have had boil overs when not watching things carefully.

Sadly I had to cancel it because I didn't realize it was 240V.

I just bought the 25G pots, but now wondering if I can get natural gas burners to do the job.  Anyone brew with natural gas and can recommend burners?

Yep, saw those.  Wondering if they can do a 20G batch.  Any thoughts on that?

So there are some math equations out there that apply btus to gallons to determine the time it would take to boil.  Those burners will heat/boil your wort without a problem, the question becomes how LONG it would take to do it.  I found a calculator online but i would grain of salt it because i am unsure of NGs efficiency.

http://www.phpdoc.info/brew/boilcalc.html

Assuming 50% Eff at 90k btus it will take 20G of wort 30 minutes to go from 60F to boiling. Which is a pretty good ramp time i think. So this burner should do well for you.  I believe some of the other Gas RIMS threads i have read use these burners as well.

Thanks Jeff.  They looked pretty good but always want opinions and advice from those that have been there and done that.  I think I'm going with these but will do a little more research.  Also need to figure out how I'm getting the gas line from behind the dryer in to the garage.

Anytime man.  Im hoping someone with experience with these will chime in.  Id google NG burning Eff to figure out the correct Eff factor to get a better idea.

What about this bad boy?

http://www.homebrewstuff.com/32-tip-natural-gas-jet-burner.html

Same idea, bigger pipe required and it has mroe tips.  Its probably also a larger diameter.  Cant imagine why it wouldnt work.  Thats one hell of a warning tho, If your pot isnt atleast a foot away, it will melt you pot.  Scary stuff.

I read on another thread that the comment was pure hyperbole.  What temp would melt your pot?  But then why take that risk?  I'm torn.  Looking at the Williams conversion fitting and a Hurricane too.
