We're gonna order a few of these.  I don't know how well they will work, but no cleaning is worth $4 a keg to me.

Hmmm.  I didn't seem them in GR.  Bummer.  Oh well, we're gonna give it a go.

Just the bags alone would be $5 each they were saying.  I forget the price of the kegs but it was going to be >$100.. I dunno... I don't see many homebrewers spending $5 extra per batch for the bag on top of a keg that is that expensive.

The sales guy I'm working with is giving numbers about 20% less than that.  It's promotional pricing right now.  And they are going to let me test a few for two months, and still order more at the promotional rate.

I've already made an investment in kegs.  That's a big deterrent to dropping with another $100 to just save wash water.  Perhaps they should move the kegs @ cost if they can profit on the bags?  No doubt the Chinese will steal the idea soon.

We use Pub Kegs, http://pubkeg.com/ Around 30 for the whole thing and around 10 for just the blader. Very light weight so freight won't kill you. We generally use them for retail customers so if they never come back the 30 for a deposit pays for total cost of the unit. I wash the bladder 3 times then toss. Could probably do it a few more times. Completely recyclable, they are like a 5 gallon soda bottle. It doesn't take a lot of time to clean them because you can see inside and how clean they are getting, I can clean and sanitize them in less than a minute. Only pain is cleaning the outside bucket when they come back.

If those cost 100 for the outside I would spend the extra 30 bucks for stainless and not worry about buying bags at 4 bucks a pop.

Id just go buy sixtels at that price.  And while you may be saving waste water i dont think you are saving 4$ in waste water.

Well, we came to an agreement on pricing, and three kegs and 15 liners will be here next Thursday.  Unit cost is a bit much as we are only buying three, but I want to try them before buying a whole pallet.  But still about a 20% discount on stated prices.  The killer is shipping.  But for a trail run, what the heck.

Hey, I didn't think of that either! But you could set up a 55 gallon electric kettle to caustic soak them.

FWIW I think I was quoted $69 per sixtel.

I got them yesterday.  Very strange looking product.  My Amber will be ready to keg on Sunday, so we will try one at that time. 

And I understand about the spears.  Seems like it'll be easier to clean than the corny kegs we are distributing in now.  But, time will tell.

Still haven't had time to give them a try.  Plus, I want to practice a bit with just water, to make sure I don't waste any beer.  I've been having some medical issues, so time is hard to come by these days.
