avel with a keg
« on: April 19, 2010, 03:02:16 pm »
I have been asked to bring  some home brew to a Grad party this summer.  I was thinking of a keg system. What are the pit falls? What is the best way to keep the beer cold?

Depends on the size of your party, if you've already invested in kegging equipment (if you'll be using it thereafter)/can afford it etc.  For me, I keg all my brews.  I keep it in an old fridge w/a controller to keep it up to cellar temp.  For a party away from home, I've put it in one of those big keg tubs for the commercial kegs.  It's a good excuse to get out of bottling if you can afford the investment.

Consider getting a keg of a good craft brew if 5 gallons isn't gonna be enough?
Beer...Now there's a temporary solution!
