Transfering into 5 gal cornney keg/ c02 or nitro?
« on: July 19, 2014, 08:33:39 pm »
When I transfer into keg I purge keg with co2 then transfer and top off and seal with co2.  I have heard that
Nitrogen will not be absorbed in the beer, would it be better to top off with, and seal with nitrogen? this is,
for longer storage beer .  I already have a Nitrogen set up that I dispense my dark porters and stouts..

If you want to use Nitrogen go for it. I would just do all CO2.

There is no benefit of using nitrogen over co2 to age your beer that I am aware of. as Leos says, if you want to use the nitrogen go for it.
