DEN to boulder on Halloween. Need lunch
« on: September 24, 2014, 03:03:53 pm »
What's everyone's favorite spot to stop for lunch and a beer driving from the airport to boulder?

Think I'm going to try Fate Brewing Company for dinner friday night. Likely just looking for late night eats and a drink saturday night and home again sunday morning.

I'd recommend Mountain Sun and/or West Flanders. Both are brewpubs on Pearl St walking mall, so you can do some obligatory Boulder people watching. There's also a burger/belgian bar called Reubens that has a pretty extensive beer list and weekend happy hour deals.

Twisted Pine, Bru Handbuilt, Boulder Beer and Avery have pretty tasty menus, too. Then there's Sanitas, Wild Wood, Upslope, and Redstone Meadery for tap rooms (usually these places have small bites available or schedule food trucks). I am sure I am forgetting some stuff....

There's so many food/drink options in Boulder. Member Deals can be a good way to make decisions, too :)

The short version: Check out Mountain Sun. Great beers. Great food. And very Boulder-y.

Love Fate, too. It's a good place to go on weekends since it's bigger, so usually the waiting time isn't ever that bad. Nice big bar, some TVs with sports, and a big patio if the weather is nice....oh and LOTS of great beer brewed in house. And it's on Member Deals--bonus.

Fate is in the general area of Avery, Upslope (Flatiron Park location), Wild Wood and Bru, too, so you could do some jumping around with minimal driving.
