Pre coffee post there. A pound would be about right I guess. No more morning math for me. Honey is 12#/gallon about.

It's not so much about which gives better flavor, they're both good but different. D-180 is figs and raisins, while Blackstrap is dark rum and molasses. It depends on what you're going for.

Exactly this.  I use D-180 in a dark saison that I make with figs and dates.  It just serves to punch up the dark fruit notes since much of the sugar ferments out.  Molasses will contribute some metallic notes also.
