Pecan smoked chicken, grilled portabella caps, and grilled polenta cakes. Good stuff.

My sister in law made baked chicken breast coated with panko crumbs and shredded Parmesan. Very nice.

You just made my day.

My mom was here last weekend. We made chicken soup from the bones of some chicken that I smoked. It was surprisingly good, tasted like soup made with keilbasa. Wasn't sure how the smoked stock would taste.

My wife and I both had to work today, so I kept it really simple for dinner: steak (filet for the wife and son, strip for me), roasted new potatoes, and green beans.

Didn't even know about this part of the forum, so going back to May 11th, I made her, plus my siblings and their families:

appetizer:
pan-seared sesame encrusted wild caught chinook salmon with two Asian sauces
http://www.goldriverseafood.com/content/yellow-fin-tuna

main courses:

halibut ceviche
http://www.laurieconstantino.com/recipe-index/halibut-ceviche/

+

crockpot Mexican red beans

+

Diana Kennedy Mexican rice (with carrots and zucchini but no giblets)
http://www.nytimes.com/recipes/9937/mexican-rice.html

+

Dessert:
Diana Kennedy traditional flan
http://homecooking.about.com/od/dessertrecipes/r/bldes30.htm

My sis-in-law brought green salad.

It all turned out great, although it also took some day + two days ahead prep.  They REALLY loved the seared salmon appetizer, and this really is the best flan recipe around!
