multi tasking 1 CO2 tank
« on: November 10, 2009, 06:22:45 PM »
I've got a 20lb CO2 tank and 2 regulators. I want to serve beer out of my frig/kegerator and lager/carb in my chest freezer. If I Put a manifold in each the frig and the freezer then I could hook the regulators in series connected to the CO2 tank and run a line from one regulator to the frig manifold and a line from the other regulator to the freezer manifold.
this sound right?
what pressure to set the fridge and what pressure to set the freezer? The freezer will be temp controled. What temp is best for carbed lagering?
I wasn't even in town that day, I swear.

my kegerator is set at 32º.  I run my regulator at 10 psi and its perfect for carbing and serving.    In reality, I'd rather have a seperate cooler set at 40º for serving....
as close to freezing as possible for lagering is the best.   Serving is a personal preferences.   I'd like something at 40-45º.  serving at 32º tends to rob some of the flavor until it warms up.
Use a carbonation chart to determine the serving psi once you decide what temp you're going to run it at
