The company has been PBR in name only for quite some time.   If I recall correctly, Pabst was a victim of a hostile takeover in the mid-eighties.

True. Then some guy in Southern California bought it. Finally sold to the Russians. My previous commie line was a joke. But honestly, I don't know how I feel about this. I'd be more comfortable if it was bought by InBev.
