Anyone brewed Papazian's Propensity Pilsner?
« on: April 20, 2010, 10:01:29 am »
Has anyone brewed Charlie Papazian's Propensity Pilsner?  I'm interested in knowing how the honey changes (if at all) the final flavor of the brew.

Thanks

It probably dries it out a bit and leaves a little residual sweetness.  What I'm wondering if you use his cry havoc yeast at ale temps will this beer still taste as it should?

Funny, I just brewed a Papazian Lager recipe with Pac-Man Ale yeast, and it tasted awesome.  It was the "Bohemian Thriller".  When does he say to add the honey?  The later you add it, the more flavor you'll get... but it will dry it out a little either way.  I would trust his recipe though.
