My pro buddy offerred me some 041 slurry - any opinions out there?  Should I try it out? 

Only read mixed reviews online, but not from folks I'm familiar with, thus why I'm asking here.

I've only used it once... on an american wheat

It was a strong fermenter.  I did not make a starter and it was done in about 3 days (1.055 OG to 1.010 @ 65*F)

It pulled everything down too.  I had an extremely clear beer after about 3 weeks in the bottle.

For what it's worth, that's my input.  Pretty clean strain from my experience.  Not much fruitiness or other esters (which I was hoping for some at least)

The yeast will clear from the beer well, and a leave a malty profile. More fruity than WLP002- English Ale yeast. Good yeast from English style ales including mild, bitter, IPA, porter and English style stout. White Labs 041 Pacific Ale Yeast is a popular ale yeast from the Pacific .
