Bottle cap bar build
« on: October 24, 2014, 10:44:15 am »
2 keg system built into bar, bottle cap top with clear epoxy finish, 1640 caps

blue led light string, 6 pack cartons for side door

used a fancy Crown bottle cap to make the side door handle

tree trunk stools, I plan on putting foldup motorcycle pegs for foot rests, gotta hit the scrap yard

basic 2x4 frame with tabletop 1/2" below sides. I laid grout on table top, then GF & I stuck the bottle caps in the grout, took 3 sessions/days

thanks for the hand Phill

EDIT: I figured out how to change the size flickr displays, change the url http:/.....<filename>_m.jpg >> change the m to a z to make it bigger

Looks awesome! Do you have a shot of the bar top, looking down at it? What is the cap design? I have framed some caps with no pattern, about 100 per frame and it was a pain, so I imagine placing 1640 caps in a pattern would be quite painstaking!

Fermenting: Nothing (ugh!)
Conditioning: Nothing (UGH!)
In keg: Nothing (Double UGH!)
In the works:  House IPA, Dark Mild, Ballantine Ale clone(still trying to work this one into the schedule)

Thanks! I had a 2nd piece of plywood same size as bar top, we did the design on that, then when it came time to lay caps in grout, just moved from board to bar top. Here is the design before we moved caps to bar, the lines are straighter on the bar, this was just to get the pattern figured out

EDIT > i figured how to fix the pic in this post & the size
