I have made a deal with a guy on craigslist for two wide mouth 6.5 gal glass fermenters (20 bucks ea). I realized this morning looking at the add that they have purple (ish) lids. He said they were new but has anyone seen these being sold with purple lids? I only see white lids. Just wondering where these are from? Anyone have any reviews on these seems like a good idea to me from a cleaning standpoint. Link

I know I've seen them on alibaba before. I am guessing northern brewer sources them from a manufacture in China and that the product already existed. Northern brewer may have designed the two piece lid.

No idea really. They could very well be from the same manufacture.

These are actually 5.5 gallons. I picked up a couple from this gentlemen and he got them through the local brewery store Brew and Grow, that he used to work at.

I am very happy with the quality of these. For 20 bucks im not complaining!!!
