Wife booked us for brew school at Great Lakes Jan. 7th. Super pumped.

Participants in Great Lakes Brewing Company's Beer School receive an extensive tour of our production Brewery. Our expert Tour and Tasting Guides share their knowledge of the following beer topics:

• Ingredients
• The Brewhouse
• Fermentation
• Packaging
• Beer Styles

Each two-hour Wednesday evening Beer School is $35.00/person and is limited to 30 people per session. In addition to a tour of our Brewery, attendees receive:

• The official "Beer School Graduate" t-shirt (available in M-XXL)
• A 5 oz. GLBC tasting glass
• A light snack
• An extensive guided tasting of our Exceptional Family of Beers, plus a Pub Exclusive “style of the month.”

its been many years since ive done the GL tour-well before my brewing days so excited to go back now.

I was lucky to be in Germany for almost 5-years and sample beers and tour some of the many breweries there. I also in 2011 got to tour Guinness, and then made it to Jameson for a private reserve tasting and tour....I was sufficiently ripped by 11am that day.

Looking ahead now to planning a trip back to Germany for an extensive brewery tour trip-with a slightly different perspective of a homebrewer.

Used to enjoy that brewery quite a bit when I lived in Painesville.

Ok, so lets hear about the Brew School. Aside from drinking their killer brews, what did it consist of ? Might have mentioned, forest green with envy.   ;)
